Heir of Søren Kierkegaard and a precursor of continental existentialism, Miguel de Unamuno (Spain, 1864-1936) is one of the main European philosophers of the 20th century, and an outstanding Generation of '98 author.
Best known by his prose, Unamuno is also a consummate poet, and in Poesías he showcases his masterful skill, as well as his philosophical, religious, and political worldview. Romantic and familiar love, the travails of existence, and faith, as well as many other Existential leitmotifs, are present in this work.
